Let me be clear, I'm not a proponent of Corporate Personhood. I'm suggesting that while there is established precedent for it, why not turn it on its head and use it to Nature's advantage? Since Nature itself cannot uphold its rights as a person, could interest groups representing a single natural system form a Limited Liability Company and act in its interest?
Could said systems finally then be afforded the rights of every other American? This also brings up other details to consider. Should only natural systems that originate or reside in the United States be considered? Where do the Canada geese really come from? What about Chihuahuas?
Along with Corporate Personhood, I will pursue various details, such as:
- The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
- Freedom of Association
- Natural/Physical Law
- The legal concept of a Natural Person
- Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission
- Limited Liability Companies and other corporate forms
- Animism
- Green Theology
- Plato's Theory of Forms and Greek Systema
- and many more hits!
